Bay Cleanup 7 December 2014


Beach, Shoreline, Parks and Reserve Cleanup:
1.30pm beside the Sea Scout Hall, Little Shoal Bay

The Little Shoal Bay Protection Society and the Birkenhead Residents Association are arranging a “Community clean-up” of Little Shoal Bay and the coastline, with the aim of covering the area between Sulphur Beach and Chelsea Bay and the associated reserves and parks – Stokes Point, Dudding Reserve, Little Shoal Bay, Hinemoa Park etc on Sunday 7th December

We have invited other local organisations to join us in promoting and supporting this event – Northcote Birkenhead Yacht Club, Birkenhead Sea Scouts Group, Hinemoa Park Placemaking group, Le Roys Bush Management Committee to name a few.

We invite you to come along after the Highbury Santa Paradeand and help us clean up the beaches, shorelines, parks and reserves in preparation for summer. The clean up will start at 1.30pm beside the Sea Scout Hall, Little Shoal Bay. Auckland Council have provided rubbish bags and disposable gloves.

For participants of the cleanup there will be a BBQ thanks to Countdown, and drinks thanks to The Northcote Tavern.
